Instructors of Nuuksio Riding Centre

Minna Haikarainen

Minna Haikarainen, responsible instructor of riding school, was Finnish Junior National Champion in Showjumping in 2008. Minna took the championship with her horse Little Fair.  The same year  Minna also won the Junior GP series with Little Fair.

Minna gives lessons in English, Swedish and Finnish.

Anne Ahokas

Anne has been in horse business for 16 years. She was graduated at Equine College Ypäjä in 2001 as riding instructor. Anne has worked as instructor in riding schools in Leppävaara, Solbacka, and Nuuksion Ratsastuskeskus since graduation.

Anne has her own SH-mare Kirppu in Lohja. The horse’s and rider’s sensitive and smooth cooperation is important to Anne.

Mariia Laihi

Mariia started riding in Leppävaara when she was 10 years old. She studied in horse gymnasium in Kiukainen. Mariia was training and racing trotters in Tuokkolan Ravitalli while she was at the gymnasium.

After gymnasium Mariia studied in Equine Collage Ypäjä first to horse groom and then to horse instructor. During her studies she worked in Belgium’s New Nordic Horses stables. NNH is one of the most famous breeders in Belgium.

During her Ypäjä studies she was competing actively especially in showjumping and in combined training. Her main instructors were Lasse “Late” Lehmusto, Susanna “Susu” Lindfors (showjumping and combined training), Pirita “Pike” Herd (young horses), and Annu “Vinnu” Viitanen (dressage).

At Nuuksio Riding Centre Mariia started in 2008. As an instructor she has sense of humor, she is enthusiastic and sets long-span goals. alt “During lessons I have a habit of speaking and explaining a lot, but also interview my students in order to make the lesson more interactive and unforgettable.” Mariia respects long-term mindset, positivity, sensitivity, and motivation as good rider characteristics.

Heini Haikarainen

Heini has had horses her whole life. She is working at the stable care side. She has been competing in National level in Finland in Show jumping few years back.

 

Pia Vuohelainen

Pia has been riding for 30 years and has had numerous horses. Presently she has 3 horses. Younger she has been working in both in breeding and trotter stables. Horses have been part of her life both in abroad and in Finland.

Pia has graduated as M.Sc. (Engineering) in Tampere University of Technology in 1997. She has over 13 years experience in the field of cellular phones and telecommunication.

Pia has been studing psychology, leadership, life coaching and NLP for the last 5 years. She has graduated as Business Coach in 2006, as Life Coach in 2007, and she is presently studying in Anthony Robbins Executive Coach programme.

In riding the most important issue for Pia is the horse and rider communication, non verbal messages, and body and mind control of the rider. One of her passions is Hannoverian horses.
